Genesee Valley Bottle Collectors Association

In 2019, GVBCA celebrated our Golden 50th Anniversary!!  Our club went all out and we had a fantastic Show & Sale which included another year of wonderful displays that just do not compare with any other Shows that I am aware.  This year we made room for more displays and up the number to an even dozen from the previous 8 displays in 2018.  Charter members were recognized and Dr. Burton Spiller was remembered.  Burt had passed away a few months before the Show and he had sponsored the BEST OF SHOW plaque for the past several years.  He had already had this years plaque made just before he passed.  Going forward, the BEST OF SHOW plaque will be presented in memory of Dr. Burton Spiller.

Once again, we present pictures of the extraordinary exhibits that were displayed at our 2019 Show & Sale.  There were 12 displays altogether.  John Pastor of New Hudson, MI won the BEST OF SHOW for his extensive display of "Merchants, Lockport, N.Y. Bottles & Advertising."  Vince Martonis of Gerry, NY captured both the PEOPLE'S CHOICE and the MOST EDUCATIONAL award for his display of "Dr. Fenner's People's Remedies, Fredonia, N.Y."  Both gentlemen along with all the other exhibitors put together professional and detailed displays that just took your breath away.  Several displays were so large that one picture could not do it justice.  You really had to be there.

Congratulations and THANK YOU to all our exhibitors for sharing your collections!!  It was another successful show at Roberts Wesleyan College - Voller Athletic Center , 2301 Westside Drive, Rochester, NY 14624.  It will be our 51st Show & Sale next time!  Look out for a full slate of spectacular displays!
